Congrats 2025 Leaders!

Congrats to AIA leaders across the country and around the world who are transitioning into their new roles as the calendar turns to 2025!

In December 2013 during my Inaugural as AIA President, I actually invited the incoming Board of Directors to join me in an oath of office as a means of publicly verbalizing their commitment to their respective roles. As you now prepare to lead, please consider these words collectively vocalized by the 2014 AIA Board of Directors:

“As a member of the American Institute of Architects,
I solemnly pledge to faithfully do my part
To manage the affairs of the AIA to the best of my ability
Through my position on the Board of Directors.

I shall conduct myself with honesty and integrity
In all matters that come before me for action.

I realize that I have a fiduciary responsibility to the AIA
And shall exercise maximum effort to meet that obligation.

I shall place the concerns of the individual members
Above my own personal or corporate interests.

I vow to serve with honor | respect | and devotion
As a member of the 2014 Board of Directors
Of the American Institute of Architects.”
